Messier 104 - The Sombrero Galaxy
Messier 104, NGC 4594
Messier 104 is also commonly known as The Sombrero Galaxy. This spiral galaxy is estimated to be about 50 million light years distant and is seen nearly edge on from our perspective. The Sombrero Galaxy is well known for its distinct dark rim of obscuring dust.

Luminance - a series of seventeen 8 minute exposures for a total exposure time of 2 hours and 16 minutes.
RGB data - five 8 minute sub exposures for each color channel binned at 2x2.
