Name: Messier 13, NGC 6205
Object Information: This Hubble image of the central portion of the globular cluster Messier 13 shows a jewelbox of colored stars. Astronomers beilieve that the Messier 13 globular cluster, which is about 25,000 light years distant, contains approximately 300,000 individual stars.
Messier 13 can be easily seen through binoculars and is a spectacular sight when viewed through moderate sized amateur telescopes.
