- The open clusters Messier 38 [top-center] and Messier 36 [lower-left] are seen in this wide field image of the southern portion of the constellation of Auriga. Also seen in this image are the open cluster NGC 1907 [the yellowish cluster of stars below Messier 38], the emission nebula IC 417 [the bright portion of the nebula below NGC 1907], and the emissoin nebula/open cluster NGC 1931 [the bright red patch between IC 417 and Messier 36.
